POUR PAINTING

June 25 – 27

Tues – Wed – Thurs
4pm – 7pm

Students will learn a variety of techniques for pour painting in this exciting, fun and beginner friendly class!

Over the course of this 3-day class, students aged 8 to 18 will learn about the materials and techniques of acrylic pour painting and make a variety of paintings. All supplies are provided.

*Due to the extended cure time it is recommended parents bring a box to transport the touch dry paintings home.

Phones and tablets welcome for reference and research.
Free Wifi Provided.
Snack and water provided.


JAPANESE SHIBORI DYEING

July 16 – 17

Tues – Wed – Thurs
4pm – 7pm

Students will learn about the traditional Japanese art form of Shibori Dyeing.

Over the course of this 3-day class, students aged 8 to 18 will learn about the materials and techniques of traditional Japanese Shibori Indigo Dyeing.

Shibori uses indigo, a natural plant-based dye also used to dye blue jeans. The dye begins green and turns a deep gorgeous blue when the dyed fabric is removed from the dye bath. By folding and binding the fabric in an endless variety of ways different patterns are created.

Students will create a t-shirt and practice on pieces of fabric, ultimately taking home a variety of handmade products.

All supplies are provided.
